Life's Journey through the Storms

Each one of us has a story of how we came to know Jesus.
Growing up in a small town and living between two
churches somehow didn't seem to increase my desire to go to church or read the bible.
As a child and even as
an adult I didn't know God, Jesus, or anything about the Holy Spirit until a few years ago.  I've always had a bible
but I never read it. I couldn't tell you at that time where to find one single scripture.  I had always heard about God,
but I didn't know him personally.  I had always heard about heaven, but I didn't know what I needed to do to get there.
Have you ever felt like something was missing from your life but you didn't know exactly what it was? I had tried
almost everything I could think of. It wasn't until I invited Christ into my life that I begin to see a change. Yes, I
struggle and sometimes I fall but the good thing about the Lord is that he knows my heart and he's a forgiving God.
At some point in our lives we have to decide if we want to be counted in or counted out of God's plan and purpose
for our life, a choice to move forward, backward or stand neutral. I chose to move forward in spite of my failures.
Don't let your past keep you from inviting Christ into your life.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire and encourage those who God has placed in our path, using God's word through prayer, inspiration, and the encouragement of others.

NIV, Ephesians 4:23, Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up others according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Things to Inspire

Welcome to Things to Inspire!

We all have something to be thankful for whether we begin giving thanks for life, family, friends, homes, or jobs. Sometimes in life we get so bogged down with family, school, church, and work that we forget to stop and think of all the little things we have to be thankful for. Although my list would be lengthy, my gratitude would go to God first. Some of you may be wondering why start there - simply because of the unconditional love, grace, and mercy that is bestowed on me (and you). I don't know many people that love unconditionally. Unconditionally meaning inspite of - my faults, failures, struggles, wrongs, rights, trial and triumphs - well you get the picture. Even when my family and friends desert me, God will still be there. There's no way I can ever repay God for all he's done for me, but I can start my saying thanks each day that he blesses me with life.
